Has the management in your business, school, non-profit talked about wanting to explore having an intern or a student that would provide a job shadowing experience and then wonder how to get it done? This was talked about at Women of Vision and was a request to put together an event to talk about more information for others to put into place.

An internship is a period of work experience offered by an employer to give students and graduates exposure to the working environment, often within a specific industry, which relates to their field of study. Internships can be as short as a week or as long as 12 months. Job shadowing is an educational program where college students or other adults can learn about a particular occupation or profession to see if it might be suitable for them. In job shadowing, a business typically partners with an educational establishment to provide an experience for a student of what it is like to perform a certain type of work by having them accompany an experienced worker as they perform the targeted job.

We are going to learn how others have completed the set-up process to have them and are going to share with others that might want to have the experiences in their office. Bring your questions!

Please call Community Ed to sign up, or online registration at this way we make sure to have enough seating ready! Pass on this information to others that might want to attend!
